Ace Hole in front of the Temple

Pat always has to give a crazy pose for a picture. Rocker and tounge hanging out like the rolling stones. Hayden just looks like he is trying to stay warm. I like the tax train in the background. I think that looks really cool. They also got to witness a bunch of cops with their guns drawn out yelling at someone to get out of the car and walk slowly backwards. That's a lot of excitment for one night.
Last night Pat took the well children downtown to Temple Square to see the lights and take a carriage ride. We were all dressed and ready to go when I kissed Kassidy's head and she was burning hot. Dabnabit! Everytime we have planned to go someone is sick. Back on the 8th Kassidy threw up, then a week later Jesika puked and then this last Thursday Hayden threw up. Kassidy is running a high fever with no other obvious symptoms. This must be something new that has nothing to do with what we have already had. I ended up staying home with Kassidy and watching movies.

The horses name is "Ace". Pat had told the kids that it was nice to have an ace in the hole then he said, "Did I just say Acehole in front of the Temple." What a funny Dad!

Jazz & Jesi during the carriage ride with ace. They had to stay warm with blankets and a little snuggling. They also said that ace had gas and unfortunatley you are always behind the horse on a carriage ride. Maybe he was just trying to keep them warm too. STINKY!

Hush little Kassidy...don't say a word

One night I told Kassidy to go to bed and when I went to go to bed myself, I found her in my bed and she climbed into Pat's pajama pants and fell asleep. Although it is no surprise that she went to my bed instead of her own.

Again Kassidy in my bed. She looks so peaceful and sweet. There was no whinning, demmanding, or tugging on my sleeves. I savor these moments. I usually end up moving her to her bed and she usually wakes up sometime in the middle of the night and sneaks back into my bed. It is very funny because she never does this on the nights that her Dad is home. I have to place a pillow between her and me otherwise I get little toes in my back all night and I wake up the next morning very sore.

Peeping....JAZZ

Pat needed some help putting up the Christmas lights. Jasmine was the lucky one elected to help. (Benefit of being the oldest). I will post a picture of the house all lighted up later. We have finally been slammed with snow and the last picture taken you can see green grass and the fall wreath was still on the front door. These windows look into our living room were we now have a 9 ft. pre-lit Christmas tree. We posted our old tree on KSL classifieds for $30. Not a single call. We might be giving it away. The new tree was way easier to set up. I LOVE IT!!!! It is a Georgous tree.

It's Jasmine's Birthday!!!

Today is Jasmine's birthday. 14 years ago at 12:10 pm my first baby and my first little girl came into my life. How I anticipated her arrival and dreamed of what she would be and look like. She is everything I dreamed of and more. She is growing up to be such an amazing young woman. I am her Mom but we are also friends.

I took her to school this morning and wished her a happy birthday and told her that I love her. I asked her what cake she wanted for her big day and she requested chocolate applesauce cake. It is way yummy!!!

Jesika had this great idea to trash Jasmine's room for her birthday! She stringed it with yarn and toilet paper. We heart attacked it. Jesika also hung up before 14 and after 14 photos of Jasmine. It was funny because the after 14 picture was of an old woman with huge over sized glasses on. Jazz's first reaction when she walked into her room was, " WHAT THE HECK!"

This is the Old woman Picture. Isn't it funny
This is a better shot of her room.
I took Jazz shopping after school and she picked out an outfit. This was also stalling time while Jesika put the finishing touches on the room.
Happy Birthday Jasmine!!!
Some of Jasmine's Likes;

She loves all the girly things like nail polish, clothes and shoes
She loves Frogs
She loves hanging out with her friends
Loves TV shows like Heroes, Ghost whisperer, CSI, NCIS, Without a Trace, Numbers

It's Kassidy's Birthday!!!

4 years ago today at a little after 6pm, Kassidy Mae Knight was brought into our lives. She has been such a blessing and joy to our family ever since. We LOVE her and thank her for making our lives brighter. Pat asked her what she wanted for breakfast and she said, "cakes" (pancakes). He made her pancakes and sausage.
Present time was a hit. She got some furniture sets for her Loving Family Doll house. She also got a horse playset with a jeep and trailer. She has been playing all day.

We had cupcakes with creamy melted chocolate center and of course, CHOCOLATE FROSTING!!!
Some of Kassidy's likes are:
She absolutely LOVES HORSES!
Loves playing with Hayden
Loves to sleep with Mom every night
She loves to snuggle
Loves any movie that has a horse in it
She loves almost any kind of fruit
She introduces herself as Kassidy with a "K"
When you say smile she gives a big cheesy grin! I love it!!!
Happy birthday baby girl!!!

CrAzY KiDs

The other night Hayden decided to play guestures. I had to grab the video camera to show everyone my funny little Kassidy. She cracks me up! She has such a fun and zanny personality. Hayden is quite the crack up also. He is every bit as funny as she is. They play together so well. Everyday Kassidy can't wait for Hayden to get home from school.

STITCHES!!!!!!!

I have four kids and it ends up that our first visit to get stitches is my baby Kassidy!
Her and I were riding around the block on scooters having a great time. Kassidy kept telling me to go faster. I kept telling her to be careful. On our third trip around she wiped out. She hit the sidewalk and kind of slid a little forward. My heart sunk because I knew there was going to be damage I just didn't know what kind. I wasn't expecting this. I thought maybe a broken tooth (I hope not), or bit lip or tongue. After comforting her I looked at her mouth and when I didn't see any blood there I looked lower. There was a deep red line on her chin and then I saw the gash! I picked her up, left the scooters of course and ran for my house.
Her neck was covered in blood and so was I by the time I got to the house. My sweet neighbor Amber drove us to the Dr where Kassidy ended up with 5 stitches. She was so brave. She hardly cried and she laid so still while the Dr stitched her. She got an Oreo sundae for being so brave and the Dr praised her for being so good and gave her 3 prizes. The Dr said the last 3 year old she stitched up kicked and screamed the entire time. Kassidy said ouch and whimpered a little when they stuck the shot in to numb the area. That is it! Today she has had Motrin twice for pain. If you ask her if her chin is better she will say, "not yet." I have had to remind her a couple times not to pick at the stitches. What a trooper. She is fascinated with the pictures because it is the only way she can see what it looks like.

My Hayden Boy!

I took Hayden to see the eye DR. and found out that he can't see all that well. I think he could only read about the 2nd or 3rd line down from the big E. He's still a handsome little guy in his glasses.
Pat and I went on Hayden's class field trip to the zoo the end of last year. It was raining that day. Kassidy was excited to see all the animals also. There favorite thing was this big metal elephant that makes these noises when you touch it. Hayden said it was farting and then he'd laugh so hard I thought he was going to fall over. Typical Boy!
For Hayden's birthday back in May he went bowling at Fat Cats. The boys were very silly and did so crazy bowling that got the ball stuck in places that it shouldn't have been. From left to right is Garreth, Wyatt, Connor and of course Hayden.

Hayden's first grade teacher Mrs. Anstadt who is the best ever! She was a true wonder for my little boy. She loved him and he knew it. Even tonight he was crying telling me how much he misses her. Thank you Mrs. Anstadt! The picture to the right is Mrs. Ashton she was Hayden's reading teacher. She also loved him and kept him in the program a little longer than he needed because she didn't want to let him go. She shared with me how unique and how much he stood out and what a sweet boy he is. Thank you to such wonderful educators that blessed Hayden's life. I will forever be grateful. The world needs more teachers like these!

SO COOL!

The Kids and I went to a free concert in Park city. The music was okay. It was free after all. You can't expect much. We had fun making silly faces. We had to ride this tram type thing from the parking lot to were this area is. The kids thought that was fun and Jesika and jasmine kept trying to get me to let ride it down and back up. Of course the answer was NO!
Kassidy and Hayden were entertainment at my finger tips! It was so funny to watch. Hayden kept throwing his hat. This one lady asked me if I had Kassidy in dance. She was shocked when I told her no, just a crazy Mom in the kitchen and a radio.

4th of July AKA Street of Fire

Kassidy just couldn't wait to get her sparkler lit when the neighbors on the next street over set off an illegal firework that shot 50 feet in the air and made a big BOOM!!! Kassidy doesn't like the loud noise as you can see. All night long she kept trying to run back into our house.
Jasmine & Jesika lighting thier sparklers with Hayden in the background. They were dancing in the street.

Hayden running around with his sparkler. He is no longer afraid of the fireworks noise. We used to have to put ear muffs on him every 4th of July.

We partnered our fireworks with one of our new neighbors and had a great display. We were trying to see how many we could get lit at once. At one point we had about 4 going at once.

Disneyland

In March we went to Disneyland for the very first time. We had so much fun. Kassidy still asks everyday if we are going to Disneyland. We can't wait to go again.

The Family

This is my family. We had our pictures taken last summer at Memory Grove. Kassidy is the one riding Pat's shoulders. Hayden is laughing his head off. I am giggling with Jasmine and Jesika. We had fun although Kassidy lost her patience with the whole process after the first pose.
